. What will each of those users want to see in order to enjoy their visit to your site?
I think that in order for all of those users to enjoy their visit to the site, it needs to first and foremost be clear of what it is i'm showing. I will be using this website to help me launch into the professional world. It will need to be well laid out, organized, yet creative and artistic. I want it to stand out and really speak about who I am while also showcasing my achievments and showing off my hard work.
. Name your intended audience (the person(s) you need to persuade.)
The people that I will NEED to persuade are those who I want to work for and work with. I need to show them that I am a step ahead of others, and creative and professional in a way that many are not. I basically want to show that I have a lot to bring to the table, and that I am driven and detail oriented.
. Describe what you need to inform and persuade them of:
Promote my: I need to promote myself as a freelance marketer and event coordinator. I really thing that my strong points lye in being organized, creative, and directive. I am able to jump into a situation and figure my way through pretty easily. I also have good artistic and creative sense and can help a business transform to what they want to be.
Goals of the site are: The goal of my site will be to show off my professional achievements. I want to show people that I am more then a one trick pony, I have done a variety of different things and have experience in many varieties of work. I am promoting myself as a marketer, promoter, and event coordinator.
My ultimate message/philosophy (about who you are): I have a passion for doing the things that I do. I am really good at being creative and helping someone to see how they can put things together and manipulate their business to be the best it can be. "Your" way of doing things may not always be the best or only way, and I want to show and help people realize that there are many ways of doing something, and which ever way they choose it needs to appeal to them, but most importantly their customer.
What is the story you are telling?
. Write a 200 word concept statement based on the user, your persuasion, navigation and the assets.
. List the assets you need to persuade the user: Which 7 (minimum) projects? scans of what?, photos of what objects? images from what computer graphics program? what descriptive text? list them.
Concept Statement:
When I look at different websites, the first thing that always either makes or breaks it is the ease of the website. I get really frustrated when I can't find the "log in" or how to get back to "home". My first concern with my website will be the layout and ease of navigation. I want my layout to be clean, yet unique, and I want my navigation to be simple. Those who are visiting my website, will most likely be doing so to see what I have done, and what I am capable of doing. I will organize my website so that they can get to specific projects easily. In order to do that I will come up with different categories to put my projects in. Whether it is fashion and art show coordination, or business planning, they will be able to see each aspect in their own separate section. I think this will benefit me because users can easily find what they are looking for, and easily come upon something they weren't.
The assets I have decided on for my website include my business plan, my product development project, a marketing package put together for a close friend and jewelry maker, my digital marketing project which is a website re-design actually in the works, The art institute fashion show, The ruby room fashion show, and Arts in Action which was an art show. For my business plan I want to show certain aspects of it such as a bit on demographics, SWOTS, and marketing and promotions I created. I will pdf's of the examples along with photographs of the book itself. For my product development Class I will have images of boards we created along with patterns drawn, technical sketches, and the final product. The marketing package for my friend will include an example of what I can create based on the business model, and have pictures of the package we created. For my shows I will show pictures and explain what my role was, and have pictures of posters, and letters of reference. For each asset I will have a small paragraph explaining what I had done and what my role was.
